Georgetown.- July, 8.
37-year-old Hector Negron of Coatesville, PA was arrested for an incident that occurred during a traffic stop. Negron was stopped for a traffic violation and police located marijuana and fireworks in his vehicle. Negron was charged with possession and consumption of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fireworks and driving on a suspended registration; he was released pending a future court date.

The Georgetown Police arrested two juveniles from Bridgeville today
GEORGETOWN.- 07/06/09. The Georgetown Police arrested two juveniles (14 & 15) from Bridgeville for an incident that occurred on N. Race Street. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Race Street in reference to a 911 disconnect. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 23-year-old male had been approached by the juveniles and threatened with a knife. The 23-year-old victim advised that the two approached him and asked him if he wanted to buy cocaine at which he stated no. 16 Arrested for DUI July 4th Weekend
Dover – Despite widespread awareness about sobriety checkpoints planned for the 4th of July holiday weekend, sixteen (16) people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs during the inaugural weekend of the 2009 Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI prevention campaign. Officers statewide conducted six sobriety checkpoints in locations including Wilmington, Harrington, Dover, Milford, Millsboro, and Smyrna. Four more are scheduled to take place the weekend of July 10th.

Couple charged for endangering the welfare of a child
Georgetown -- 35-year-old Ronaldo A. Gonzalez of Georgetown was arrested for an incident that occurred in 2008. Police were contacted by the Division of Family Services in reference to a 13-year-old female that had disclosed she had been sexually assaulted by Gonzalez in 2008. The child was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center and advised that Gonzalez had digitally penetrated her during October of 2008. Man stabbed in the area of North Railroad Ave., Georgetown
March 11, 2009 - The Georgetown Police Department is investigating an incident that has left a Georgetown resident seriously injured. Officers were dispatched to the area of North Railroad Ave. for what appears to be a botched robbery. The victim, Merito Galvez-Roblero, was walking to his residence at around 9:40 P.M., when he was confronted by a lone assailant who, without warning, stabbed him in the chest with a knife.
