    On June 15, 2012 at approximately 12:50 AM, a black male subject entered the One Stop/ Dash In, located in the 22000 block of DuPont Highway Georgetown, Delaware, brandishing a sawed-off shotgun. The black male robbed the clerk and fled on foot in a Southern direction with an undisclosed amount of United States Currency. The black male is described as 6’0”-6”01”, weighing approximately 160-170 pounds, wearing a black and gray checkered hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and an unknown type of cloth, which was pulled up over his face.     The following checkpoint is scheduled to take place Friday as part of the Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign: Friday May 18th - Wilmington (NcCo DUI Task Force) The Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign is a crackdown on impaired driving.   • Capitol Police Arrest Woman on Terroristic Threatening Charge
    On June 8, Delaware Capitol Police arrested Tanisha S. White, 25, of Dover for Terroristic Threatening in connection with an incident that occurred on May 20, 2010 at Kent County Family Court. White and the victim were at Family Court for a hearing and at the conclusion of the proceedings White allegedly made threats to harm the victim. White turned herself into Delaware Capitol Police on June 4th, was processed on the warrant and presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7. White was released on $500.00 unsecured bond pending a future court appearance.

  • Georgetown Police Department
    28-year-old Eric L. Davis of Seaford was arrested for an incident that occurred during a traffic stop. On 03/05/10, at approximately 8:10 pm Davis was stopped on Seashore Highway for a traffic violation. It was discovered that Davis was operating the vehicle with on a revoked driver’s license. When police had Davis step out of the vehicle, they located approximately 27 grams of crack cocaine and approximately 7 grams of marijuana. Davis was charged with trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for keeping a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia....

  • BREAKING NEWS: One person arrested in East Market Street
    27-year-old Juan Antonio Vargas of Dundalk, Maryland was arrested for an incident that occurred during a traffic stop. At approximately 3:45 pm Vargas was stopped for a traffic violation on East Market Street. During the vehicle stop, police located approximately 6.5 grams of heroin, 11 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of marijuana, 10 clonazepam pills, and a 12-gauge shot-gun.     11/01/09 The Georgetown Police Department in currently investigating a burglary and theft at the residence of slain Georgetown police officer Patrolman Chad E. Spicer. It appears that between Friday 10/30/09 and Sunday 11/01/09, unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered into the residence of Patrolman Spicer and removed several items. The residence is located on Mary Street within the corporate limits of Georgetown. Anyone who has information on this burglary or anyone who may have witnessed any unusual activity during this time period is strongly urged to contact the Georgetown Police Department.

  • Delaware Capitol Police arrest two subjects for forgery
    Today, Delaware Capitol Police arrested Carol L. Tribbett, 49, of Dover, and Shan Morning, 37, of Felton, on two charges of Forgery Second Degree, Conspiracy and a single charge of Offering a False Instrument for Filing. Police allege that Tribbett and Morning forged a doctor’s signature and a Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) employee’s signature on State forms and turned them in to Dover DMV officials in an attempt to have the window tint waived on a vehicle. Both were presented at Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on unsecured bond pending a future court appearance.

  • Capitol Police Arrest Woman for Harassment and Stalking
    Capitol Police arrested Marietta F. Stokes, age 48 of Dover, DE, for two counts of harassment and one count of stalking. Stokes was arrested for allegedly sending multiple handwritten letters and leaving multiple phone messages on voice mail at the Department of Technology and Information. Included in the letters and voice mails were repeated vulgar and profane language directed at an employee. Stokes was arrested at her residence and arraigned at Justice of the Peace 7 on August 13. She was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Facility on $2000.00 secured bond.

  • Incident in West Laurel Street
    21-year-old Moises A. Acurio-Suarez of Georgetown was arrested for an incident that occurred on West Laurel Street. Police were contacted by the Nanticoke Hospital and advised that there was a 7-year-old male victim that was being examined for a possible sexual assault. The exam revealed injuries to the victim that were consistent with sexual assault. Further investigation revealed that Suarez was a neighbor of the victim and at times the victim would be dropped off to be baby-sat while the victim’s mother would go to work.     Georgetown.- July, 8. 37-year-old Hector Negron of Coatesville, PA was arrested for an incident that occurred during a traffic stop. Negron was stopped for a traffic violation and police located marijuana and fireworks in his vehicle. Negron was charged with possession and consumption of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fireworks and driving on a suspended registration; he was released pending a future court date.
