Governor Jack Markell, the Superior Court of Delaware, and the Mediation Program partners are announcing an Administrative Directive establishing the Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program —a program designed to provide assistance to homeowners and lenders, via a trained mediator, to help negotiate possible alternatives to foreclosure actions. The program is the result of Superior Court’s leadership and the collaborative work of a steering committee comprised of a diverse group of partners and stakeholders dedicated to helping families work with the lenders to avoid foreclosures.
