(Georgetown, DE)- On July 31, the Sussex Academy Foundation announced that the Sussex Academy Middle School Wing has been named in honor of Dr. Patricia S. Oliphant.
Dr. Oliphant retired from Sussex Academy, after 16 years as the school’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction and a total of 50 years in public education. She was in integral part of adding a high school to the successful Sussex Academy of Arts and Sciences middle school. The high school opened in 2013.
Sussex Academy is a public charter, tuition free, school centrally located in Georgetown. Serving grades 6-12, the school practices a project based learning approach and all grade 11 and 12 participate in the International Baccalaureate program.
