The Take Two Drama Club of Sussex Central High School is proud to present the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “Cinderella” by special permission of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization. The show will be presented on Friday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Sussex Central Centre for Visual and Performing Arts located at 26026 Patriots Way in Georgetown.

A special Princess/Prince Party will be held at 12:00 p.m. prior to the December 17 matinee at a separate cost of $5. Proceeds will support the Students in Action Service organization and the Take Two Drama Club. This special event is perfect for children ages 4-10 and over. Cake and other treats will be served. Special “royal” hair and makeup will be provided for children by Bad Hair Day of Rehoboth Beach. Children who come in costume will receive a special prize following a costume parade. There will also be other fun prizes along with dragon slaying lessons and a special scavenger hunt to find Cinderella’s slipper. Cinderella and her Prince will make a special appearance for photos with guests.

“This party is a great way to kick off the holiday season with your children or grandchildren,” said Take Two Drama Club advisor and teacher David Warick.

After the party, attendees can see the show, which begins promptly at 2:00 p.m. Group rates are available. Please contact Mr. Warick at david.warick@irsd.k12.de.us for information.

General admission for all performances is $8 at the door.

Students, seniors and military personnel pay $5. Middle school students with ID are admitted on a special two-for-one ticket for $5. No one will be turned away for inability to pay. Attendees can purchase tickets at the door starting at 1:00 p.m. for the matinee and 5:30 p.m. for the evening performances.

“This is the first high school production of the all-new 2013 Cinderella in Sussex County,” Warick said. “The classic fairy tale has been turned into a moving, funny and magical story with a great score and a beautiful message about making your own pathway in life.”

The cast features students in Grades 9-12 and all proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the non-profit Take Two Drama Club to support future productions. For school groups and group sales, please call Mr. Warick at 302-934-3166. Concessions will be available during intermission.
