SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. — Delaware State Police say Sussex Central High School has been evacuated once again- after authorities found a suspicious object in a locker Friday afternoon.
Authorities say a bomb squad has been called to the school.
Police say both Sussex Tech and Sussex Central high schools were originally evacuated Friday morning because of a bomb threat.
The Sussex Technical School District say that at 10:45 a.m. Friday, police received a bomb threat for Sussex Tech and notified the school immediately.
The school district says Sussex Tech then stopped DSTP testing and evacuated everyone from all buildings and sent them to the football field. School officials say the police then conducted a thorough check of all buildings with bomb sniffing dogs.
After finding nothing at Sussex Tech, the police cleared the scene at approximately 1:15 p.m. Students were then sent back to class and the normal class schedule was resumed.
