Tanger Rehoboth Hosts “Meet A Hometown Hero” Event

Rehoboth Beach, DE,  June 12, 2018 –  Tanger Outlet in Rehoboth’s “Summer Splash” event series continues on Friday, July 6th with a Super Heroes-themed event and a chance to meet a “Hometown Hero”.  Local first responders will be on hand from the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, the Delaware State Police, and the Vietnam Veteran’s Chapter 850 showcasing a real canine hero that is in training to assist a disabled Veteran.

The event is from 2pm to 5pm at Tanger Seaside in the courtyard by Forever 21.  The newly renovated courtyard features an interactive splash fountain that’s child-friendly, and the afternoon event will feature a DJ, face painting, free treats and samples from TCBY/Mrs. Fields/Pretzelmaker, balloon animals, and opportunities for families to get up close with fire and rescue equipment and personnel.

“We hope everyone will join us for this fun and FREE event on Friday, July 6th,” said Amy Schnerr, General Manager of Tanger Outlets.  “It’s a great opportunity to demonstrate our appreciation for first responders and Veterans, get the kids out of the house, and enjoy some free summer fun!”

The event in the second in a series of three events this summer.  The final event in the Summer Splash series will be held on Friday, August 3rd, with a “Meet a Hawaiian Princess” Luau-themed event that will include games, crafts, food, music, and prizes.
