Georgetown – The Delaware Safety Campaign would like to invite you to an emergency meeting this Thursday, October 2nd at 4:30 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Georgetown, Delaware.

The Delaware Safety Campaign has been working hard to educate and empower the community to call 911 and to trust the police.

Due to the recent tactics used by ICE officials in Sussex County, the Delaware Safety Campaign feels the need to call an emergency meeting. Many residents of the community are suffering – including the children who are living in fear of losing a parent and the businesses who are losing employees and customers. The recent tactics used by ICE officials are creating a fear of all law enforcement, which is totally counterproductive to the Delaware Safety Campaign and the trust and collaboration that we have all worked so hard to establish.

We request your presence and participation to continue an open dialogue to see how, as a community, we can best support each other.

The meeting is open to the public.
