Do you know that in order to see the kingdom one has to look at the Christ within? This is the meaning of the words, ‘examine yourself.’ But how does one do that? By looking in the mirror! Not a literal mirror, but looking into Christ in His mirror-like appearance. Upon first examination, the reflection will appear distorted. You may wonder where it is. But self-scrutiny in humbleness and willingness to grow in grace and knowledge brings us to see as God sees us. Murkiness will give way to brightness; and, His unending love will give way to strength needed to endure the process of restoration. This is how Christ is revealed.
This process, which is also called ‘the renewing of the mind,’ causes us to display the image of the Son. It begins with grace, the main ingredient of courage and courage helps us to dismantle the false identity. The Holy Spirit clears the reflection of the image in the mirror by way of symbols, words, metaphors, parables. It also works to align each son and daughter to the will of God.
In this way, whosoever will seek finds the way that is beyond the five senses to the heart of wisdom that lights up intuitive knowing. An example of a metaphor, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘if you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have eternal life.’ Another example is a subtle hint of the Holy Spirit making sure we know the name of the place where Jesus was crucified as Golgotha, the place of a skull (or we could say ‘the place of the distorted mind’).
We trust, knowing that we are guided in the freedom of righteousness. In our daily communion we rejoice in seeing more clearly our true identity. Our understanding continues expanding, as we feast with the Lord. The ‘meat’ or ‘flesh’ is the word; the ‘blood’ is His soul that blossoms in our interior. I can sense the day approaching when He will ask each one of us: ‘do you have any meat?’ and we will know how to answer because daily we practice the experience of true freedom. And the beauty is that this experience is for anyone willing to come without doubting!

¿Sabías que para ver el reino de Dios uno tiene que mirar al Cristo que se encuentra en nuestro interior? Este es el significado de las palabras, ‘examínate a ti mismo.’ Pero ¿cómo lo hacemos? ¡Al mirar en el espejo! No en un espejo en el sentido literal, más bien mirando dentro, a Cristo en su aparencia como espejo. Al examinarlo, su primer reflejo aparecerá distorsionado. Te preguntarás, ¿dónde está? La revision a uno mismo con humildad y el deseo de crecer en la gracia y el conocimiento nos lleva a ver como Dios nos ve. Lo turbio dará lugar a la luminosidad; y el amor traerá fuerza para tolerar el proceso de restauración. Es así que Cristo se muestra individualmente en cada uno de nosotros.
Este proceso, el cual también se conoce como ‘la renovación de la mente’, nos lleva a lucir la imagen del Hijo. Comienza con la gracia, que es el ingrediente central de la valentía y la valentía nos ayuda a desmantelar la identidad errónea. El Espíritu Santo aclara el reflejo de la imagen en el espejo usando símbolos,,palabras, metáforas, parábolas. También obra para alinear cada hijo e hija con la voluntad de Dios.
De esta manera, aquél que busca encuentra el camino que lo lleva más allá de los cinco sentidos, al lugar donde mora el Corazón de la Sabiduría que ilumina el conocimiento intuitivo. Como ejemplo de una metáfora dijo Jesús a sus discípulos, ‘el que come de mi carne y bebe de mi sangre tiene vida eternal.’ Otro ejemplo, la pista que da El Espiritu Santo cuando asegura mencionar el lugar donde fue crucificado Jesús, en ‘Gólgota, lugar de la Calavera’ (o podríamos decir, ‘lugar donde se encuentra la mente distorsionada).
Confiamos al saber que se nos guía en la libertad de la rectitud. Y en nuestra comunión diaria nos gozamos al ver más claramente nuestra identidad verdadera. Nuestro entendimiento continúa expandiendo a medida que participamos en el banquete del Señor. La ‘carne’ es Su palabra y la ‘sangre’ es Su alma que florece en nuestro interior. Y tengo la impressioó que se acerca el día en que se nos hará la pregunta: ‘¿tienes carne que comer?’ Y sabremos la contestación porque a diario practicamos la experiencia de la libertad verdadera. Lo más bello de todo es que ¡esa experiencia es para todo el que vengan sin dudar!
