GEORGETOWN.- 07/06/09. The Georgetown Police arrested two juveniles (14 & 15) from Bridgeville for an incident that occurred on N. Race Street. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Race Street in reference to a 911 disconnect. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 23-year-old male had been approached by the juveniles and threatened with a knife. The 23-year-old victim advised that the two approached him and asked him if he wanted to buy cocaine at which he stated no. One of the juveniles then displayed a knife, pointed it at the victim and told him to give him money. The victim advised he was going to call the police, ran into a store and asked the clerk to call the police. Police searched the area and found the two juveniles approximately 1 block away. A razor knife and small plastic bag was found on one of the juveniles. The victim identified the knife as the one that was pointed at him. The powder was tested and it tested negative for any type of illegal narcotic. It was later found to be baking soda. The two juveniles were charged with attempted robbery, aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and conspiracy; they were both committed to the Stevenson House in lieu of bond.
