The Mills’ first occupant continuing to be a catalyst

Wilmington, DE - The Mill’s first occupant, Tapp Network, is celebrating four years of growth and success, and is continuing to be a key catalyst in attracting jobs and businesses from across the country to Downtown Wilmington.Establishing Wilmington as a Global Marketing Hub - Tapp currently boasts national clients such as Tech Impact (which is headquartered in Wilmington), TrafficCast (the tech behind smartphone, satellite radio, and WAZE’s in-car traffic) AARP, Media Analytics (home of the IMS Report) and Nonstop Administration and Insurance Services.

Thriving Think Tank - Robert Herrera, Founder of the Mill, looks at Tapp Network as an “integral business behind the curtain of the tech boom Wilmington is currently experiencing. Tapp has provided strategic digital marketing guidance to The Mill and many of our tenants. We now look at Tapp as an extension of The Mill's team. They even developed a 'Mill Management System' that has increased our efficiency and member satisfaction significantly.”

Attracting Top Talent - Starting with only one employee just a few years ago Tapp now boasts a team of almost 20 full and part-time employees. Their core team combines a unique knowledge of Digital Marketing, Communications, Content Development, and Technology. Notable additions to the team are Dan Sanchez, Director of PR & Communications - Dan joins the team after spending the last year as Director of Digital Communications & Social Media for the campaign of new Mayor of Wilmington, Mike Purzycki. Kaylan Wetzel has come on as the new Director of Business Development. Hailing from NYC, Wetzel has a background in the tech startup world and has helped digital app brands PRIV and ManeStreem gain national recognition through strategic partnerships, PR, and experiential marketing.

Fueling Tech Wilmington's Tech Growth - According to Joseph DiGiovanni, Co-Founder of Tapp Network, “Wilmington is a hotbed for public private partnerships seeking to leverage marketing technology to accelerate market growth.” Already this year, Tapp launched the Boys & Girl’s Club of Delaware’s new website and recently created WilmToday.com in conjunction with the City’s Economic Development Office, as well as, playing an integral role in launching ZipCode Wilmington with Tech Impact.

Empowering Non-Profits - Tapp has found its niche with providing inbound marketing solutions for nonprofit and mission-driven organizations with an emphasis on technology, healthcare, and education. DiGiovanni notes that, “we’ve been privileged to work with nonprofits and cause-driven organizations we believe in and look forward to continue to play a transitional role in marketing technology for nonprofits, not only in Wilmington, but with our national clients on a global scale.”

“The technology that we’ve implemented for these great organizations has changed the landscape of how a nonprofit can and should function,” said Tapp’s co-founder, Kyle Barkins. These offerings are due, in part, to Tapp being recognized as a Gold Partner with HubSpot, an inbound marketing and sales platform that helps companies attract visitors, convert leads, and close customers.
