Georgetown, DE — The Parker Group, a local real estate brokerage serving Delaware and Maryland, is gearing up for its Day of Kindness on Tuesday, November 28th. The Day of Kindness is an annual company event in which The Parker Group’s team volunteers in the community and spreads some holiday cheer.
Leading up to the event, the company is collecting donation items for local charities like Shepherd’s Office, Sussex Crisis Center, Home of the Brave, Redemption City, and Refuge of Hope. The community is encouraged to bring donations to The Parker Group’s office ahead of the event to help the group make a big impact. The company will deliver these donations to the respective organizations on Tuesday the 28th, supplying local non-profits with critical supplies during the busy holiday season. The Parker Group’s team will also spend the day volunteering at the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
From 2:00 until 5:00 pm on the 28th, the public is invited to join the company at their Georgetown office location for a holiday open house. The open house will feature a festive hot cocoa and cookie bar, along with activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Local photography studio Ginny Art Studios will be hosting winter wonderland themed holiday photo sessions in the office from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Sessions will feature a beautiful snowy forest backdrop and include one 5×7 print and social media digital image, plus a free personalized ornament. At 3:00 pm, Kent County Candles will host a special holiday candle making class, where attendees will craft an artisanal candle with a bonfire starter. In partnership with Santa’s Letters, Inc, a portion of the funds raised from both of these activities will be used to adopt local families in need for Christmas.
