Delmar – The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces daytime intermittent lane closures and shoulder restrictions on North Pennsylvania Avenue from Route 54/State Street to Grove Street in Delmar. The streetscape enhancements include new sidewalks and crosswalks, installation of ramps to meet compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), new street signs, decorative lighting, and landscaping.
The project will begin on Tuesday, February 17 and end in mid-May, weather permitting. The hours of construction will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For this contract, Stripe-A-Lot, Inc. a Delaware-based construction firm, submitted a bid of $317,527.12 the lowest of seven bids received.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and to expect lane shifts.
