Troopers investigate convenience store robbery

Wilmington- Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store located just west of Wilmington that occurred last night.

The initial investigation has determined that the robbery occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at approximately 8:30 p.m., as two male suspects entered the La Oaxaquena Store located at 201 N. DuPont Road, Wilmington. The suspects, one of which was armed with an unknown make and model handgun, confronted a 35 year old female clerk. They then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the store’s cash register before fleeing in a northbound direction on N. DuPont Road. The clerk was not injured as a result of this incident.

Both suspects were described as being males wearing all dark clothing with masks covering their faces. No further physical or clothing description is available at this time. There is no video surveillance footage available at this time.
