U.S. Senator Kaufman visits Sussex County Agency
Georgetown—On Monday, October 5th, U.S. Senator Ted Kaufman made a visit to First State Community Action Agency. The Senator met with Executive Director Bernice Edwards and staff for the first time to learn about the agency’s antipoverty programs and discuss its visions for the future. First State facilitates over twenty-one programs to help low-income individuals and communities throughout the state. While touring the agency, the Senator greeted a group of afterschool youth studying in the agency’s La Casita homework center.
