Fire investigators from the Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office have declared a fire that occurred at 632 West 6th Street, on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 14:49 hours was intentionally set. Warrants were issued that day charging Marc S. Boddy, 45, of Wilmington with setting the blaze. The home was occupied by one adult and four children at the time of the fire.
Investigators were able to trace Boddy’s location to an address in Holly Oak, and with the assistance of Wilmington Police, took him into custody on Sunday October 4, 2009. Marc S. Boddy has been charged with one count of Arson 1st degree, 5 counts of Reckless Endangering 1st degree, and one count of Terroristic Threatening, he is currently being held at Young Correctional after failing to post $15000 bail.
