Georgetown, Delaware – The Georgetown Blueprint Communities planning team, in cooperation with the Town of Georgetown and other sponsors, is undertaking a community-wide survey on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Community members will be asked how they currently receive information, whether they participate in various local events and how they feel about Georgetown. The overall goal of this survey is to obtain information that can be used to improve communications and cultural integration.
Called the “We Are One Georgetown” survey, volunteers from local schools, community organizations and the University of Delaware will be going door-to-door seeking residents’ input. Additionally, volunteers will be at the Georgetown Public Library from 10 am – 2 pm to survey willing participants. The survey, in English and Spanish, will also be available online, accessible through the Town of Georgetown website (www.georgetowndel.com).
Participation in the survey is completely voluntary and anonymous. Information will be used by local organizations interested in making changes in Georgetown that will improve communications, facilitate intercultural relations and create civic pride.
Sponsors of the “We are One Georgetown” survey include: the Town of Georgetown, Habitat for Humanity, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hoy en Delaware, the Blueprint Communities Revitalization planning team and the University of Delaware.

Georgetown, Delaware – El equipo de planificación The Georgetown Blueprint ommunities, en colaboración con la ciudad de Georgetown y otros patrocinadores, realizará una encuesta en la comunidad el sábado, 13 de abril de 2013. Se preguntará a los miembros de la comunidad cómo reciben actualmente información sobre Georgetown, si participan en diferentes eventos locales y sus sentimientos respecto a la ciudad de Georgetown. El objetivo de esta encuesta es obtener información que pueda ser utilizada para mejorar la comunicación y la integración cultural.
La encuesta se ha llamado “We Are One Georgetown”, voluntarios de escuelas locales, organizaciones comunitarias y de la Universidad de Delaware realizarán encuestas en los vecindarios de Georgetown y la biblioteca pública buscando la opinión de los residentes. Los voluntarios permanecerán en la biblioteca pública de Georgetown de 10am a 2pm encuestando a los participantes que así lo deseen. La encuesta, en inglés y español, también estará disponible “on line”, a través del sitio web de la ciudad de Georgetown (www.georgetowndel.com).
La participación en la encuesta es totalmente voluntaria y anónima. La información será utilizada por las organizaciones locales interesadas en hacer cambios que mejorarán las comunicaciones en Georgetown, facilitarán las relaciones interculturales y crearán orgullo cívico.
