Wilmington Hispanic Festival has been canceled

Letter received in reference to the cancellation of the Wilmington Hispanic Festival 2012:

We’re sorry to inform you that we have had to cancel this year’s Hispanic Festival which was due to be held on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday September 16th at 710 Beech Street.

On a positive note, we are happy to announce that the Hispanic Parade will continue as always on Sunday, September 16th. The parade will begin at noon, commencing on 4th and Union and ending at 4th and Jackson. We are still accepting applications to participate in the parade.

For applications and/or further information visit our website at http://www.NuestrasRaicesDelaware.org.

Let’s ensure this doesn’t happen again. You can help by attending, participating and/or supporting our events (fundraisers, pageants, etc.).

Miss Hispanic Delaware Pageant will be held on Saturday, September 22nd. Cocktails at 6pm showing at 7pm at the Opera Delaware on 4 South Poplar Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

Again, on behalf of the committee, we would like to apologize for the cancellation, especially to those of you who have already plans. Unfortunately, these were circumstances which were beyond our control. However, with your help, we intend to make next year’s Hispanic Festival even more spectacular so I hope you can join us then.
