Wine & DinosaursWILMINGTON – The Delaware Museum of Natural History’s Wine & Dinosaurs festival presented by Wilmington Trust returns for a roaring good time on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 12-4 p.m., featuring specialty wines and beers from around the world. All proceeds benefit the museum and its mission to excite and inform people about the natural world through exploration and discovery.

Wine & Dinosaurs includes sampling of fine wines provided by United Distributors and tasting notes about different vintages. Victory, Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog, and other breweries will serve various distinctive beers. Wine and beer tasters can pair their beverages with appetizers courtesy of Toscana Catering.

The museum’s exotic exhibits will serve as a unique backdrop for live music and a silent auction featuring exclusive experiences, exciting events, theater and sports tickets, and more. Visitors can take a break from “Wine & Dine-osauring” to view the museum’s galleries.

Wine & Dinosaurs started in 2007 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the museum’s dinosaur display. The fund raiser has evolved into a signature event for museum supporters and sponsors, raising thousands of dollars.

“This year’s Wine & Dinosaurs will be a fun, lively afternoon with fantastic wine, great beer, and delicious food,” said museum Trustee and Event Chair Beth Peck. “And the best part is, the festival supports museum operations and our many quality programs such as summer camp and Dino Days.”

Wine & Dinosaurs is presented by Wilmington Trust. Additional sponsors include the Konyk Family; Toscana Catering; Weymouth, Swayze & Corron Insurance, Inc.; Proctor Heyman LLP; Delaware Today; United Distributors; Cover & Rossiter; Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited; Brandywine Fine Properties/Sotheby’s International Realty; McClafferty Printing; Out & About; and Friess & Associates.
