AUGUST 14, 2020 — Work began this week to repair the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial located on Legislative Mall in Dover. The memorial was damaged by an ax-wielding vandal in the early morning hours of June 12th. A bronze figure of a kneeling police officer at the site suffered significant damage to its neck in the incident. Dover Police detectives found a cell phone at the crime scene. Further investigation led to an arrest the following day.
