February 12: Closures and delays

CAPITAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: All Capital School District schools will shift to asynchronous learning on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025. Please check your email for additional information.

INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to inclement weather, all Indian River School District schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12. Staff should not report with the exception of custodians and administrators. Custodians should await instructions from their chiefs and building administrators. Optional online learning resources are available on the district website at irsd.net

LAKE FOREST SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to the inclement weather, Lake Forest Schools will be closed for in person school operations, tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.  Students and staff are required to logon tomorrow to remote learning per the schedule that has been shared by your school administration.  

MILFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to inclement weather all Milford School District schools will have a remote learning day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

ODISSEY CHARTER SCHOOL: Due to predicted weather conditions, Odyssey students will not report to school tomorrow, February 12, 2025. Students will have an asynchronous day of online learning. Keep an eye out for messages from your students’ teachers regarding their online learning/assignments for tomorrow. The monthly food pantry event scheduled for tomorrow will be held on Thursday, 2/13/2025 from 2:30 to 6:00.

SEAFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT: The Seaford School District will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday February 12th.  Students will participate in remote learning activities.   Thank you for your continued support of the Seaford School District.  Please travel safely.

SMYRNA SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to inclement weather, the Smyrna School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Students will have asynchronous learning assignments to complete at home.

SUSSEX TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: On Wednesday February 12th Sussex Technical High School will be operating on a remote day schedule. Students should access work via zoom and Schoology.

12 month staff will also be operating remotely or may take liberal leave. Building Maintenance and Custodial staff should check with their direct supervisor regarding adjustments in their schedule.     

UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE: Snowfall and hazardous road conditions prompt the University of Delaware to adjust to remote operations at the Newark Campus – and no in-person classes will be held on Weds. SUSSEX COUNTY GOV. OFFICES: Sussex County government offices will be CLOSED on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, due to winter weather.
