GENTE DE VENEZUELA PHILLY is pleased to announce the return to Pennsylvania of the renowned exhibition “Teleport to Venezuela”, a virtual reality experience Bilingual created by the Japanese filmmaker Noah Iimura, which transports the viewer to the landscapes, sounds and emotions of the Venezuelan people.
Following its successful run in Philadelphia in 2024, the exhibition returns this time to three locations: Kennett Square: June 11 and 12, Philadelphia: June 13, 14 and 15, Downingtown: June 16, 17 and 18.
This Pennsylvania tour is part of the INTERNATIONAL TOUR 2025, which is developed in parallel in United States and Europe, reaffirming the global impact of the work as a tool for connection, awareness and social art.
Noa Iimura filmed this documentary for six months, living with rural and urban communities across the country, documenting, from an intimate perspective, the daily lives of those who continue to resist and dream within the country. His approach avoids media clichés, prioritizing human connection and the value of direct experience.
In 2024, the exhibition was seen in Philadelphia by more than 300 people in just three days, including audiences of all ages, both Spanish and English speakers. Internationally, the tour has toured more than 40 cities in the United States and several European capitals, reaching more than 10,000 people.
This tour is presented by GENTE DE VENEZUELA PHILLY, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the cultural, athletic, and professional development of the Venezuelan community in the region. Its mission includes building bridges with other communities and institutions to promote exchange and social integration through art, sports, and education.
