DOVER – Los legisladores del área de Dover, la representante Kerri Evelyn Harris, el representante Sean Lynn, el representante William Carson, el representante Bill Bush, la senadora Kyra Hoffner y el senador Trey Paradee, emitieron el siguiente comunicado conjunto el viernes tras los informes sin fundamento sobre una redada en Dover que involucra al Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE).

Kent County Legislators Issue Statement Addressing Misinformation on Law Enforcement Activity in Dover
DOVER – Dover-area legislators Rep. Kerri Evelyn Harris, Rep. Sean Lynn, Rep. William Carson, Rep. Bill Bush, Sen. Kyra Hoffner, and Sen. Trey Paradee released the following joint statement on Friday following unsubstantiated reports of a raid involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Dover.
“We are aware of online reports circulating about an alleged raid at Country Club Apartments in Dover involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the National Guard.
“After speaking directly with the Dover Police Department, we can confirm that this is misinformation. According to Dover PD, the operation in question was conducted by the department’s Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) as part of a criminal investigation. It was not related to immigration enforcement and did not involve ICE or the National Guard.
“Residents with questions about this incident are encouraged to visit Dover PD’s website or social media platforms for more information.”
