Air traffic from PHL to destinations in México has grown 8.3% annually since 2014 and 50% since the pandemic. There are more than 187,000 people of Mexican ancestry in the Philadelphia region.
Because of that, among other reasons, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) thought it would be a good idea to partner with the airline Aeroméxico, to provide a daily nonstop service between Philadelphia and México City.
Today, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) welcomed its newest airline partner Aeroméxico and celebrated the first departing flight from PHL to México City.
The first inbound flight from México City to PHL was yesterday, June 5.
The new Aeroméxico service will be the first time an airline has provided nonstop flights to México City from PHL since January 2019.

El tráfico aéreo desde Filadelfia a destinos en México ha crecido un 8.3% anual desde 2014 y un 50% desde la pandemia. Hay más de 187,000 personas de ascendencia mexicana en la región de Filadelfia.
Por eso, entre otras razones, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Filadelfia (PHL) consideró conveniente asociarse con la aerolínea Aeroméxico para ofrecer un servicio diario sin escalas entre Filadelfia y la Ciudad de México.
Hoy, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Filadelfia (PHL) dio la bienvenida a su nueva aerolínea asociada, Aeroméxico, y celebró el primer vuelo de salida de Filadelfia a la Ciudad de México.
El primer vuelo de llegada de la Ciudad de México a Filadelfia se realizó ayer, 5 de junio.
El nuevo servicio de Aeroméxico será la primera vez que una aerolínea ofrezca vuelos sin escalas a la Ciudad de México desde Filadelfia desde enero de 2019.
