UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE: Due to a wintry mix arriving in the region during the early morning hours of Feb. 6th that may result in potentially hazardous driving conditions, the University of Delaware’s Newark campus — and other UD locations in New Castle County — will open at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. Essential personnel should report to work as scheduled.
COLONIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: Colonial school District will have a 2 hour delayed opening for Thursday, February 6, 2025.
ODISYSSEY CHARTER SCHOOL: Due to expected weather conditions Odyssey Charter School is on a 2 hour delay 2/6/2025.
STATE OF DELAWARE OFFICES: On Thursday, February 6, 2025, State of Delaware offices in New Castle County will open at 10 a.m. Non-essential employees who live or work in New Castle County should report to work by 10 a.m. Essential employees designated for severe weather are to report as scheduled. State of Delaware offices in Kent and Sussex Counties will operate on their regular schedule.
STATE COURT FACILITIES: Due to inclement weather, State of Delaware court facilities in New Castle County, except for the 24-hour Justice of the Peace Court, will open late at 10:00 a.m. today, Feb. 6, 2024.
Kent and Sussex County court facilities will be opening at their usual times.
