Delmarva Power is working with local nonprofits to provide meaningful relief for those challenged by higher energy costs through the Delmarva Power Customer Relief Fund.

The Customer Relief Fund is part of a one-time charitable donation from Exelon, Delmarva Power’s parent company, to the Delaware Energy Fund. The Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility manages the Delaware Energy Fund and will administer the grants through the newly launched fund and assist eligible customers with applying.

To be eligible for the Delmarva Power Customer Relief Fund, a customer must meet the following criteria:

  • Active limited- or moderate-income residential electric and/or gas customer (homeowners and renters are eligible)
  • Limited income household requirements:
  • Household income that currently qualifies for LIHEAP (60 percent of the state median income); and
  • Participate in the Energize Delaware Home Energy Checkup and Counseling (HEC2) program.
  • Moderate income household requirements:
  • Household income between 60 percent of the state median income and 350 percent of federal poverty level; and
  • Carry a past-due balance of at least $250; and
  • Participate in the Energize Delaware Home Energy Checkup and Counseling (HEC2) program.

Eligible customers may receive up to $300 in relief.

Eligible customers can apply for this one-time relief. To learn more and begin the application process, customers can visit delmarva.com/ReliefDE.
