CAPE HENLOPEN SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to the winter storm and low temperatures causing poor road conditions especially in the southern part of the district, the Cape Henlopen School District will have a synchronous learning day tomorrow, Thursday February 20th. This means your child will be live with their teacher for a portion of their day.
Your child’s school will communicate plans with links through Seesaw, Schoology, or Remind by 9am tomorrow morning. Attendance will be taken during the Zoom meetings.
If your child is unable to participate in the synchronous learning for any reason, please reach out to their classroom teacher or send in a note when they are back in school.
INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to inclement weather, all Indian River School District schools will be closed on Thursday, February 20. Employees should not report with the exception of administrators and custodians. Custodians on both the day and night shifts should report two hours late. Optional online learning resources are available on the district website at irsd.net
SEAFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT: All Seaford Schools will be closed for a REMOTE learning day today Thursday, February 20th.
SUSSEX TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: Sussex Technical High School will be operating on a remote day schedule on Thursday February 20, 2025. Teachers will post zoom information and class information in Schoology.
Liberal Leave is in effect for 12 month staff members and they may operate remotely. Essential personnel should check with their supervisor for their report time.
SUSSEX COUNTY GOV. OFFICES: Sussex County government offices will be DELAYED opening on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, opening at 10 a.m., due to snow-covered road and surface conditions.
