The Nanticoke Indian Tribe will be holding their 46th Annual Powwow on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, 2023. This event will be held at Hudson Fields, 30045 Eagle Crest Road, Milton, DE 19968.
Native American crafts and food vendors are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Entrance fees are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 11-17, and free to children 10 and under. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day!
The Opening Ceremony which includes Presentation of Flags, Grand Entry, and First Dance Session on Saturday will be at 12 Noon, second dance session is at 4:30 p.m.
Noteworthy for Saturday at 1 p.m. will be a 911 Tribute beginning with a Native Flute Performance followed by the Delaware State Police Pipers and Drummers.
Sunday morning begins with a Worship Service at 8:30 a.m.; Grand Entry on Sunday is at 12 Noon; dance & flute performances are throughout the day.
