(Georgetown, DE) On Saturday, January 18, Sussex Technical High School hosted a Career Technical Education (CTE) internal competition to prepare students for the state SkillsUSA competitions scheduled for March.

Students from Carpentry and Construction Management, Electrical and Green Energy, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, Legal Services and Criminal Justice, Media Production, and Welding and Fabrication technology participated in events showcasing their skills, knowledge, and creativity.  

Volunteer judges included local businesses, advisory committee members, alumni, and retired educators.

The state SkillsUSA competition will be held in March in various locations throughout the state.  First place winners at the state level will compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, GA, in June, where more than 6,500 state champions will compete in 114 skilled and leadership competitions.
