Though sometimes I get discouraged by our divisions, I also know that the power to come together is in being of ONE ACCORD. As in Pentecost, we must meet in the UPPER ROOM, leaving behind that which no longer serves us.
There is no gain without loss; there is no transformation without self-awareness. Misspent energy leads to division and chaos. We are all God’s children. He is not a respecter of person. Therefore, trust in the promise, “Behold, I make all things new!
The promise is NOT fulfilled by yearning for the past, like the Israelites did when they were freed from Egypt. It is NOT entered by looking back, like Lot’s wife did when it was time to move onward. It is NOT perceived while ensnared by fear, as Nicodemus was when he came undercover to see Jesus.
The WORD is like DEEP waters. Unfortunately, some drink from contaminated wells. Therefore, they interpret the WORD literally when applied to others, while twisting it when applied to themselves. We cannot move forward by ignorance or selfishness. Neither stubbornness nor greed can guide us. And fear only gets us stuck in the muck so that we cannot stand on our own two feet.
To advance we must remove that which hinders our progression. Quarrels and misunderstandings just serve to delay our advancement. Consider this: the Israelites disputes in the wilderness only produced a delay in reaching ‘the promised land.’ Lot’s wife only produced a hardening of her being by attaching to the past. And, failing to understand the deeper teachings, Nicodemus did not advance either.
We tend to complain, justify ourselves, and play the victim when we behave ignorantly instead of being conscious. Then we wonder why our suffering does not diminish. Yet we all are called to pay attention. To the FATHER, everyone counts, not just some!
Would you be willing to explore someone else’s pain, to understand it by standing face to face? There are some who are discouraged because deception abounds. There are opportunities for all, if we can perceive them. To see we require LIVING FAITH accompanied by hopeful expectation for what may come next.Pain shall subside when we give way to joy. It is time to get off the wheel of doom and gloom that makes us dizzy. Things can get better, when we make the concerted effort of doing our part for the good of all. John Lennon’s song, Watching the Wheels, confirmed it for me, “…no longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go…”
Verily, we must let it go so that the light may guide us into kindness. The darkness is passing away and the new light is already shining. The time of scattering has ended; the time to gather has begun!

El tiempo de reunirse ha comenzado

Aunque a veces me desanimo a causa de las divisiones, también sé que el poder viene al estar en ACUERDO. Como en el día de Pentecostés, debemos encontrarnos en el APOSENTO ALTO, dejando atrás lo que ya no nos sirve.
No hay ganancia sin pérdida; no hay transformación sin autoconciencia. La energía malgastada conduce a la división y al caos. Todos somos hijos de Dios. Él no hace acepción de personas. Por lo tanto, confía en la promesa: “¡He aquí que yo hago nuevas todas las cosas!
Esa promesa NO se cumple añorando el pasado, como lo hicieron los israelitas cuando fueron liberados de Egipto. NO se entra mirando atrás, como lo hizo la esposa de Lot cuando llegó el momento de salir adelante. NO se percibe mientras está atrapada por el miedo, como lo estaba Nicodemo, que vino de incógnito para ver a Jesús.
La PALABRA de Dios es como aguas profundas. Desafortunadamente, muchos beben agua de pozos contaminados. Por lo tanto, interpretan la PALABRA literalmente cuando se trata de los demás, mientras la tuercen la aplican a sí mismo.
No podemos avanzar con la ignorancia o el egoísmo. Ni la terquedad ni la codicia pueden guiarnos. Y el miedo solo nos hace quedar atrapados en el lodo, de modo que no podemos valernos por nosotros mismos.
Para avanzar hay que eliminar aquello que obstaculiza nuestro ascenso. Las disputas y los malentendidos sólo sirven para retrasar nuestro avance. Considere esto: las disputas de los israelitas en el desierto solo produjeron una demora en llegar a ‘la tierra prometida’. La esposa de Lot no hizo más que producir un endurecimiento de su ser al apegarse al pasado. Y Nicodemo, al malentender las enseñanzas más profundas de Jesús, tampoco avanzó.
Tendemos a quejarnos, a justificarnos y a hacernos la víctima cuando nos comportamos de manera ignorante en lugar de ser conscientes. Entonces, nos asombramos que el sufrimiento no disminuye. Sin embargo, se nos llama a prestar atención. Para el PADRE, todos cuentan, ¡no solo algunos!
¿Estarías dispuesto a explorar el dolor de otra persona, a entenderlo al verlo cara a cara? Hay algunos que se desaniman porque abunda el engaño. Pero hay oportunidades para todos, si podemos percibirlas. Para, requerimos una FE VIVA acompañada de una expectativa esperanzada por lo que se aproxima.
Y el dolor disminuirá cuando le demos paso a la alegría. Es tiempo que nos bajemos de ese tiovivo, rueda de la fatalidad y el pesimismo, que nos marea. Las cosas pueden mejorar cuando hacemos el esfuerzo concertado de cumplir nuestra parte por el bien de todos. La canción de John Lennon, Watching the Wheels, me lo confirmó, “… ya no montaba en el tiovivo, simplemente tenía que dejarlo ir…”.
Verdaderamente, hay que dejarlo ir para que la luz nos guíe hacia la bondad. Las tinieblas están pasando, y la nueva luz ya está brillando. Porque el tiempo de la dispersión ha terminado; ¡El tiempo de reunirse ha comenzado
