Have you ever heard the saying, ‘life is not a bed of roses?’ One can say, yes, it is. For in the bed, in addition to soft petals, there are also stems and thorns. And that is why when we lay, we also mourn.
When we cry out, we are told “pick up your bed and walk,’ This means that the spiritual journey has begun. Thus, we progress with concerted effort to heal. This leads to thoughts, words and actions more in line to the will of God.
Recently, my cousin underwent an extremely difficult trial. Her sweet baby girl was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors removed one of her beautiful eyes. Then, she received chemotherapy. For a while, things were looking up. But then, the cancer returned. It spread to her brain and spinal cord. The little one passed away shortly after her second birthday.
My heart goes out to her parents and the whole family. Yet, I am also grateful for I know that my cousin and her husband will never forget what their baby girl taught them during her short time on earth. They learned the importance of embracing LIFE fully and sharing the true LIGHT that proceeds from heaven.
During her last birthday celebration, this precious toddler danced and smiled as if nothing bad was happening to her. She taught the family the meaning of the words, ‘rejoice always.’ Her pure soul added her LIGHT to the world. It is now added to her parents’ light, and it expands as love is shared.
Years ago, I learned that THORNS signify distressing situations. They also represent the trials that tear down our foundations and lower our energy. To endure, we need healing AND strength.
When ‘thorns’ make us bleed, they point to areas that need healing. But healing does not always come in the way we imagine. Traumatic events shake us for sure, but also, they can become the catalyst for change. They give an opportunity to build a solid foundation.
No one knows how long we are here. Fortunately, there is a wind of change carrying a new song to heal and strengthen us! It calls us now to gather that which was previously scattered. It calls us to be ever present. It calls us to persevere, even amid the trials.
Whether we are here a short time or long, we must share, by free will, the PURE LIGHT that dwells in us for the good of all. That is, my friends, one of the tasks that we need to complete while we are here on earth.
Mientras estemos aquí en la tierra

¿Alguna vez has escuchado el dicho “la vida no es un lecho de rosas”? Uno puede decir, sí, lo es. Porque en la cama, además de pétalos suaves, también hay tallos y espinas. Por eso, cuando nos acostamos, también lloramos.
Cuando clamamos, se nos dice: “Levanta tu lecho y anda”, esto significa que el trayecto espiritual ha comenzado. Por lo tanto, progresamos con esfuerzo concertado para sanar. Esto conduce a pensamientos, palabras y acciones más alienadas con la voluntad de Dios.
Recientemente, mi prima pasó por una prueba sumamente difícil. Su dulce niñita fue diagnosticada con cáncer. Los médicos le extirparon uno de sus hermosos ojos. Luego, recibió quimioterapia. Durante un tiempo, las cosas mejoraron. Pero luego el cáncer regresó. Se extendió hacia su cerebro y médula espinal. La pequeña falleció poco después de su segundo cumpleaños.
Mi corazón está con sus padres y con toda la familia. Sin embargo, también estoy agradecida porque sé que mi prima y su esposo nunca olvidarán lo que su niña les enseñó durante su corto tiempo en la tierra. Aprendieron la importancia de abrazar la VIDA plenamente y compartir la verdadera LUZ que procede del cielo.
Durante la celebración de su último cumpleaños, esta preciosa niña bailaba y sonreía como si nada malo le estuviera pasando. Ella le enseñó a la familia el significado de las palabras: ‘Alégrense siempre’. Su alma pura añadió su LUZ al mundo. Ahora se suma a la luz de sus padres y, se expande a medida que se comparte el amor.
Hace años, aprendí que las ESPINAS significan situaciones angustiosas. También representan las pruebas que derriban nuestros cimientos y disminuyen nuestra energía. Para perseverar, necesitamos sanación Y fuerza.
Cuando las espinas nos hacen sangrar, señalan las áreas que necesitamos sanar. Pero la mejoría no siempre viene de la manera que imaginamos. Ciertamente, los eventos traumáticos nos sacuden, pero también pueden convertirse en el catalizador de cambio. Dan la oportunidad de construir un cimiento sólido.
Nadie sabe cuánto tiempo estaremos aquí. ¡Dichosamente, el viento cambia y trae una nueva canción para sanarnos y fortalecernos! Nos llama a reunir lo que antes se separó. Nos llama a estar siempre presentes. Nos llama a perseverar, incluso en medio de las pruebas.
Ya sea que estemos aquí por poco tiempo o por mucho tiempo, debemos compartir, por libre albedrío, la LUZ PURA que habita en nosotros para el bien de todo. Esa es, amigos míos, una de las tareas que necesitamos completar mientras estemos en la tierra.
