Dagsboro, DE. Delaware Botanic Gardens at Pepper Creek (DBG) announces expanded summer hours and new Thursday evening live Music in the Garden.

Beginning May 28th, Delaware Botanic Gardens at Pepper Creek (DBG) is expanding its summer open days-hours. The gardens will be open Thursdays – Mondays. On Mondays and Thursdays the open hours are expanded from 9:00 a.m. to sunset. Friday -Sunday hours remain 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Starting on June 4th, live music on Thursdays is from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. in the Gallery Garden, “ said Mark Carter, Chief Operating Officer. The “live” Music features an eclectic mix of local Delmarva musicians and bands.” To see list of bands and dates go to events at www.delawaregardens.org

Ray Sander, DBG Chair, said, “We listened to visitors, who wanted to come to see sunsets. The Gallery Garden overlooks the Piet Oudolf Meadow.

Also, on June 11th they have a lecture in the Pavilion by Ian Stewart, Bird Expert from Delaware Nature Society about how Birds can help you get more out of life. Tickets are required.

“Also on Monday evenings from 6:30- 7:15 p.m. are Monday Meander Guided Tours. Both the Monday Meander Tours and Thursday music are Free with garden admission. Children 16 and under are admitted Free, when accompanied by an adult,” noted Sheryl Swed. DBG Executive Director.
