(Georgetown, DE) Sussex Technical High School seniors, Ashley Mercado and Taisha Amisial, completed their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials through the high school’s Nurse Assisting Technologies while, while at the same time, also completed national certifications in Phlebotomy and EKG through dual enrollment courses offered from Sussex Tech Adult Education.
Successfully completing all three certifications, made Mercado and Amisial eligible to sit for the national Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification exam, which they both passed. They received their certificates during the Sussex Tech Adult Education Allied Health Professions Graduation Ceremony on May 21 and will graduate from Sussex Technical High School on June 9.
Sussex Technical High School is a vocational technical public school which prepares Sussex County, DE students for their future success in workforce environments, higher education, and military.
