Milford, Delaware — The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC), in collaboration with the Consulado de México of Philadelphia, hosted the Multi-Cultural Community Wellness Fair at Milford Central Academy on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The free event brought together dozens of community organizations, vendors, and health partners, including AmeriHealth, People’s Place, Beebe Medical Center, the University of Delaware, and the Delaware Fire School, for a day centered on education, wellness, and community connection. DBCC staff and volunteers helped maintain an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere throughout the day with music, raffle prizes, and positive energy.

Other participating organizations included SARC, Contact Lifeline, Delaware Quitline, and Mariposa’s Art, whose creative booth added a colorful and personal touch to the event. Onsite flu vaccinations were also offered to attendees.
DBCC’s Lissette Rivera, Women’s Health Screening Program Manager, shared that as part of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s Love Your Breasts initiative, 11 women received clinical breast exams. “I love what I do, and I want to believe the team loves what they do too. It takes a village to make a difference,” said Lissette.
