Delaware’s school board elections are TODAY, May 12, and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m – tell a friend, make a plan, and get out to vote!

Here are a few things to keep in mind before heading to the polls:

  • You do NOT need to be a registered voter to participate in school board elections. You must:
    • Be a citizen of the United States and resident of Delaware;
    • Live in the school district for which the election is being conducted; and
    • Be 18 years of age on or before the day of the election, today, May 12.
  • Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and you can vote at ANY designated polling place in your school district.
  • You must bring ID.
    • In the event you do not have one of the above forms of ID, you can sign an affidavit of affirmation that you are the person listed on the election district record.
  • If you are voting by absentee ballot, your ballot must be received by the Department of Elections Office in your county by 8 p.m. today.
