Georgetown, DE., July 9, 2025 – Sussex Strong, the charitable foundation of the Sussex County Association of REALTORS®, has announced a new partnership with Clothing Our Kids (COK), a local nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk students succeed by providing essential school clothing.

As part of this partnership, Sussex Strong has contributed $1,000 to support COK’s mission to serve students from Head Start through high school across Sussex County.

“Sussex Strong is proud to support an organization that’s making a real difference in our community,” said Jamie Coleman, President of Sussex Strong. “Every child deserves to feel confident and ready to learn when they walk into the classroom, and Clothing Our Kids is helping make that a reality.”

For many students, lacking basic items like clean shirts, warm coats, or properly fitting shoes can lead to bullying, missed school days, and a decline in academic performance. COK works to change that—one garment at a time—by providing clothing that helps children feel valued and prepared to succeed.

The $1,000 donation from Sussex Strong will go toward providing urgently needed items such as coats, shoes, shirts, and pants—ensuring more local children are supported, seen, and school-ready.

This partnership is part of Sussex Strong’s ongoing mission to uplift the community through compassion, service, and meaningful collaboration. To commemorate the partnership, representatives from Sussex Strong and Clothing Our Kids gathered for a check presentation earlier this month.
