CAESAR RODNEY SCHOOL DISTRICT: Caesar Rodney School District will be CLOSED for Students on January 28 but will have Asynchronous work. Secretaries and 10-month staff work remote. Administrators will report at 9am. Remaining employees will be notified.
CAPE HENLOPEN SCHOOL DISTRICT: To ensure everyone’s safety due to icy road conditions and frigid temperatures, the district will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28. There will be no morning Pre-K.
Again, Cape Henlopen School District will be on a two-hour delay tomorrow.
If conditions in your neighborhood do not allow your child to travel safely, please send a note to your child’s school and the absence will be excused.
INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT: All Indian River School District schools will open two hours late on Wednesday, January 28. There will be no morning preschool activities. Administrators, custodians, nutrition services workers and one administrative assistant from each school and IREC department should report at their regular time. All other employees should report two hours late. High school exams will be given and those students will attend for a full day of school. High school students will receive additional information from their school’s administration.
CHRISTINA SCHOOL DISTRICT: Notice for Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29. Virtual Learning / Offices Open
Due to the ongoing impact of the recent winter storm, all schools in the Christina School District will move to Virtual Learning on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29. This move allows everyone to continue learning without facing the risks of cold weather or hazardous road conditions. Offices will be open.
Students/ Families: Principals and/or teachers will send virtual learning instructions and information.
12-Month Staff (including custodial & maintenance) - District offices will be open. Please consult your supervisor before heading to the office. Reminder: Schools are closed Friday, January 30 for a Grading Day.

LAKE FOREST SCHOOL DISTRICT: all Lake Forest Schools will be starting two hours late, Wednesday, January 28, 2026 due to the inclement weather. There will be no morning Pre-k.
LAS AMERICAS ASPIRA ACADEMY: All ASPIRA DE Schools will be virtual on Wednesday, 1/28/26.
MILFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to ongoing icy conditions in parking lots, bus lots and sidewalks at several of our schools, the Milford School District will be closed again for all students tomorrow, January 28, 2026. Students should continue to work on the prepared asynchronous activities provided by teachers. Employees are asked to check email for specific instructions for reporting for work.
POSITIVE OUTCOMES CHARTER SCHOOL: Due to ongoing icy conditions and their continued impact on travel and safety, Positive Outcomes Charter School will shift to asynchronous learning on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Many sidewalks, bus stops, and secondary and tertiary roads remain snow- and ice-covered, creating unsafe travel conditions.
Students will complete assignments from the snow-day instructional packets previously distributed. Teachers and other school staff will be available for support during scheduled office hours.
