CAPE HENLOPEN SCHOOL DISTRICT: Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th will be a synchronous remote learning day. We continue to have families across our district without power, along with numerous reports of downed trees. In addition, we are working to restore power at one of our schools. All students will participate in live, remote instruction from home. Your child’s school will share specific plans, links, and details for the day by 9:00 a.m. for secondary students and by 10:00 a.m. for Pre-K and elementary students. Information about our synchronous learning procedures has previously been shared through social media, Peachjar, and Blackboard. If you have questions or are unable to connect during the day, please contact your child’s school directly.Again, tomorrow will be a synchronous remote learning day with live instruction provided throughout the school day.
INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to the ongoing impact of the blizzard, all Indian River School District schools will remain closed on Wednesday, February 25. Students will participate in remote asynchronous learning. We recognize that power and internet outages may impact some students’ ability to participate and schools will work with those who are unable to complete asynchronous work upon their return to school. Students, families and staff will receive specific details from their individual schools. Administrators and 12-month non-instructional specialists have the option of working remotely or at their buildings. School custodians will receive instructions from their chiefs. All other employees, including administrative assistants, should not report to work.
MILFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT: The Milford School District will reopen tomorrow, February 25, 2026 on a 2-hour delay for all students and non-essential employees. All non-essential employees should check their email for further instructions. Essential employees should report as directed by their immediate supervisor. To repeat, the Milford School District will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, February 25, 2026.
SUSSEX ACADEMY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES: Due to the ongoing impact of the winter storm, tomorrow, February 25, will be a remote learning day for all K–12 students. Families can expect to receive communications directly from their child’s teachers regarding specific learning and attendance expectations.
SUSSEX TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: Remote Learning Day. Due to current road conditions, Sussex Technical High School will operate on a remote learning day schedule on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Students should log into classes through Zoom and Schoology.

BEEBE HEALTHCARE: Beebe Healthcare Opening Majority of Care Sites on Wednesday
LEWES (Feb. 24, 2026) – Beebe Healthcare is announcing openings and closings for Wednesday, Feb. 25, as teams continue to address the impacts of recent winter weather across Sussex County.
Facilities teams continue to address icy conditions across Beebe locations as melting snow refreezes. Patients and team members are encouraged to use caution when arriving at or leaving facilities.
All Beebe Healthcare locations will open with normal operations on Wednesday, with the exception of the Millsboro and Georgetown Health Centers. The following services at those locations will be closed:
- Lab Express Millsboro and Georgetown
- Beebe Imaging Millsboro and Georgetown
- Physical Rehabilitation Georgetown
- Center for Weight Loss Surgery
- Beebe Primary Care Millsboro Dupont Blvd and Georgetown
- Beebe Walk-In Care Millsboro* and Georgetown
*Mobile Health Unit Offering Millsboro Walk-In Care Visits on Wednesday, Feb. 25
With the Millsboro and Georgetown Walk-In Care Centers remaining closed due to ongoing power outages, Beebe Healthcare has established a temporary care site using its Community Mobile Health Clinic at the Millsboro Walk-In location at 28538 Dupont Blvd., Millsboro.
The mobile clinic will operate Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will remain available until the Millsboro and Georgetown Walk-In Care locations are able to reopen.
Beebe’s clinical team will be onsite to treat minor illnesses and injuries and support patients who need non-emergent, same-day care. The mobile unit includes two exam rooms and wait times may vary.
What Patients Should Expect
- Registration will take place at an outdoor check-in tent near the Mobile Health Clinic.
- After registering, patients will be asked to return to their vehicles and wait until a Beebe team member comes to the vehicle when it is time to be seen.
- No lab or imaging appointments, walk-ups, or orders will be processed at this temporary location.
- Patients who may require X-Ray or other imaging services are encouraged to visit another Beebe Walk-In Care site or Lab and Imaging location.
Patients are encouraged to use the “On My Way” online check-in feature through the MyChart app to help streamline their visit.
