CAPE HENLOPEN SCHOOL DISTRICT: On Thursday, February 26, we will operate on a one-hour delay to allow for additional daylight and safer travel conditions. We also understand that a few of our families are still without power and want to provide a little extra time in the morning. All schools will begin one hour later than normal, and morning Pre-K will be held on the delayed schedule as well.
INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT: Due to inclement weather, all Indian River School District schools will open two hours late on Thursday, February 26. There will be no morning preschool activities. If your child cannot attend due to the ongoing impacts of the blizzard, please provide a parent note upon their return to school. Administrators, custodians, nutrition services workers and one administrative assistant from each school and IREC department should report at their regular time. All other employees should report two hours late.
SUSSEX TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: Sussex Technical High School will be operating on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday February 26th. Â Staff report regular time.
OTHER:
BEEBE HEALTHCARE: Beebe location will return to normal operations on Thursday, Feb. 26. The Georgetown Health Center will remain closed due to ongoing power instability in the area. There will be no in-person primary care, walk-in care, lab, imaging, women’s health, or physical rehabilitation services on Thursday. Patients who had scheduled appointments have been contacted to set up an alternative plan.
