WHAT: Senator Darius Brown invites members of the community to attend a series of Expungement Fairs taking place this month in the Claymont and Pike Creek communities in recognition of Second Chance Month. These events provide Delawareans with critical legal resources that support justice-involved individuals seeking a fresh start.
As part of his ongoing commitment to expanding access to expungement services and reducing barriers to employment, housing, and long-term stability for impacted residents, Senator Brown is partnering with several Senate colleagues to bring these resources directly into communities across New Castle County.
“Everyone deserves a second chance,” said Senator Brown. “One mistake should not dictate the value of an individual’s life, and as a community, it is our responsibility to stand up for those seeking opportunities to improve their lives and support their families.”
The first Expungement Fair will be co-hosted by Senator Dan Cruce and Senator Ray Seigfried, connecting residents from North Wilmington with vital legal resources.
The Pike Creek-area Expungement Fair will be co-hosted by Senator Jack Walsh and Senator Spiros Mantzavinos serving residents in western New Castle County.
