Milford- Hearts Unlimited is seeking for donations of school supplies for the needy children. Their goal is having 1,000 back packs ready to give away before the next school year starts.
To accomplish this goal they have team up with Food Lion in Milford, where you can see their donations boxes displayed at the entrance of the store.
The items that this non-profit organization is asking for are: back packs, pencils, pens, all types of notebooks, crayons, sharpeners, glue, folders, dividers and paper.
On August 15, 2009 along with these giveaway, they will have another fund raising activity. An Spaghetti Dinner Buffet will be held at the Milford Church of God Youth Center at 500 N. Walnut Street in Milford, the cost of this activity will be $10 per adults, $3 for children.
Richard Portalatin, president of Hearts Unlimited is really happy about the respond that the article of Hoy en Delaware had, he recalls people calling from all over the state, to find out about the ways that they can get involved and help throughout his organization.
