(Georgetown, DE) Dr. Matthew B. Donovan, was selected as the director of curriculum and instruction following the retirement of Dr. Patricia Oliphant. Donovan joined Sussex Tech as the principal in 2021.
Mr. Dean Johnson, former assistant principal, transferred into the coordinator of work-based learning position. Johnson started his career at Sussex Tech in 2007 as a biology teacher and held the assistant principal position form 2018-2023.
Replacing Mr. Johnson as an assistant principal will be Dr. Daniell Bullock. Bullock started at Sussex Tech in 2021 as an English teacher.
Mr. Ryan Winkleblech, Sussex Tech’s athletic director since 2021 will be teaching math for the 2023-2024 school year.
Dr. John Demby joined Sussex Tech as the assistant principal in 2005. He has served as the high school assistant principal, principal, and the supervisor of student services and human resources. He will transfer to a newly created position, supervisor of community outreach for Adult Education, for the upcoming school year.

Sussex Technical High School is a public school which prepares Sussex County, DE students for their future success in workforce environments, higher education, and military.
